A great deal can be learned from looking at pictures and listening to people: getting a fuller picture of how they talk about their lives and the things that have happened to them. But there?s also the question of context. What kinds of places are people talking about? What did they look like? What can be learned from the way these places have changed? Visual images can tell us a great deal ? sometimes more than words.
In this unit you will be looking at all these questions, but focusing on the history of just one place: Lennox Castle Hospital in Scotland. A brief look back into the past may help to explain why.
