And consolation for them that have no comforter But when we fly to Truth, self is ended, and Love Come; see; and receive.

Truth meets all needs, and is ready to receive all
We have tried the ways of self, and we know how

It cannot, therefore, apprehend bliss.
They are clothed with His Glory.
When the vessel of self is broken, and its contents Who can see the glory of the redeemed ?
of error and suffering are scattered,
The redeemed behold it,
Then is Truth revealed and realised.
And them that are about to be redeemed, see it
Truth alone can comprehend Truth, and bliss
dimly:
apprehendeth bliss.
But the eyes of the world are holden with the
How can self know Love, seeing that its nature is thought of self.
its own gratification ?
The redeemed are silent in the midst of men.
How can it know peace, seeing that it cannot
They accuse not, condemn not, revile not.
bestow Love ?
When smitten, they are not angry,
How can it enter into salvation, seeing that it dreads And when mocked, they make no sign.
the loss of its perishable lusts and empty pleasures Vet him that smote them they succour in his sorrow

Self is the way of darkness and the path of pain.
And when they that mocked them are brought low,
The redeemed have put away self, and have
They lift them up and bless them.

The utterance of Truth is deeds.
Self regards error as Truth, when it is pleasing;
The redeemed are freed from all selfishness.
It regards Truth as error, when it is displeasing;
They are made perfect in Truth.
Seeking pleasure and dreading pain, it does not
The thought of self being eliminated, there is

nothing remaining in them that can give rise to
Truth knows Truth as Truth, and error as error;

It avoids evil and chooses good, without
They are calm and just, doing that which is right,
considerations of pleasure and pain.
and passion is purged from their actions.
Divine Love is the perfect flower of Truth;
He who comes to the feet of Truth,
For when Truth fills the heart Love blossoms out in Earnest in thought, strong in will, and contrite in the life.

By this flower is Truth known,
Will be lifted up and saved.
For wheresoever-impartial Love is, there is Truth. He will overcome all that defiles, and all that Just deeds, pure actions, works untainted with self, causes sorrow.

The light of Truth will light up his mind, dispelling
These are the angelic messengers of Truth ;
