Who sets no value on perishable things;
The Great Darkness, even the darkness of
Who is the same in riches and poverty,
ignorance, thou hast dispersed ;
In success or failure,
The Great Veil, even the veil of illusion, thou hast
In victory or defeat,
torn asunder.
In life or death;
Henceforth thou shalt walk in the way of
Who does not set up his own opinions ;
knowledge,
Who is willing not to be ;
Thou shalt dwell with peace,
Lo ! he it is who possesses my Pureness ;
Thou shalt bask in the light of immortality.
His happiness remains;
Rise up, Son of Truth ! in my divine dignity;
His rest is sure ;
Put on the shining life of righteousness;
His peace is not disturbed;
For thou art no longer self, thou art Truth,
He knows what constitutes holiness ;
Thy deeds will be according to the Eternal,
He understands the stainlessness of Truth.
And thou wilt be a beacon to mankind.
Disciple. I will cleanse my heart with the cleansing Disciple. Now, O Master ! I see thee as thou art; of Truth ;
I see thy ineffable beauty and glory.
I will be pure as thou art pure ;
How can darkness dwell where thou art ?
I will put away the thought of pleasure ;
How can sin and sorrow approach thee ?
I will not covet perishable things;
I am dazzled by the power of thy majesty ;
My personality I will regard as of no importance, Thou art Truth ! Thou art the Eternal!
Ceasing to crave for its eternal continuance.
And he who knoweth thee, liveth in thy light;
Death comes to all men, and the tears of sorrow
He doeth the deeds of light and not of darkness.
